ANZAC Day

On this day in 1915 at dawn the Australian & New Zealand Amy Corps (ANZAC) landed on the Gallipoli peninsula. Eight months later after heavy casualities on both sides (there was over 8,000 Australians killed) they were evacuated. During the 1920's this day became a national day of commemoration for the 60,000 Australians who died during the First World War. Since then ANZAC Day has been further broadened to include all Australians killed in all military operations in which Australia has been involved in.

The Schwarz Family would like to thank all those who sacrificed so much, so we could have the freedoms we have today.

On a lighter note, this was GG's photo for the day.
